wire harness ??'s

Hey guys I just spent the last few hrs calling around looking for a 302 (5.0) and it seems like the going price for one is anywhere from $375-$450....which really isn't as bad as I thought
the only bad thing is that they don't come with a wireharness.....where can i get a wireharness
also....how do I know the motor is in good condition?

any suggestions would help

also I was wondering if with an efi 302.......can you go back to carb.....and just avoid the whole wire harness

you can bolt a carb'd intake in place of an injected one. Several aftermarket companies offer wiring harnesses for injected 5.0 swaps. (Painless, FFRP, windsorfox,ect.)

go with a late 86,87,88 mustang 5.0 harness, youll need all the wiring and the computer, it will be speed density and will save you money in the long run over mass air

Better yet, get a CFI engine and put a carb on it. The stock manifold will work fine.

I just bought a 1985 Mercury with a 5.0 CFI for $100 and it runs and drives nice. Keep your eyes open!
