Hello,
I was looking under the truck yesterday and noticed fluid leaking out from around the pinion seal on my rear differential (my truck is only RWD). Would you recommend replacing all of the seals and bearings while I fix this leak? My truck has the standard 3.08 gear ratio (which I don't mind), but it is an open diff and I would love to put a Torsen unit into it. The truck has about 333,000 km (~207,000 mi) on it. Thanks for your help!
That's great info. I'll be sure to check that. Everyone I've talk to says to just get the seal fixed and drive it. There's something in my OCD that tells me that isn't the right way to do things.
