I just signed up and am excited because I can always use this site as a great reference tool. SO, I bought a rough 1965 Ford F100 as a project. It has had its enginge swapped and am trying to figure out where the engine identification numbers would be. I am pretty sure its a 302 V-8, other than that im stuck. Any help would be great.
Thanks all... Look forward to posting pictures of my progress and one day completion.

Welcome Scott
Here is how to ID which engine you have and the date code.
Good luck,

SO I ripped my starter off and found these block casting numbers: D2OE-6015-AB, then 3E16
3E16 = block cast May (E) 16, 1973 (3).
Casting numbers cannot be cross referenced to Ford part numbers.
D2OE is 1972 Torino related, but the block could have been installed in anything if a 302. 351W only installed in cars until 1975 when it was first installed in Econolines.
