Best Exhaust System

I have an 81 F100. It is an inline 6 with a C6 300. I am wanting to completely upgrade my exhaust system. i want to find something compatible with the engine I have. I want to replace the headers, muffler, and pipes. i want to have a nice little rumble sound to it. Nothing too obnoxious and loud.

I am open to suggestions.

what is your budget? how much money can you spend changing out parts? How skilled are you? Do you change your own oil? Have you checked engine timing lately? How are the spark plugs?

cheapest would be to disconnect the muffler and attach a straight pipe....... see how you like it?

You have to be careful with a six. Most mods to the exhaust will make it sound like a ricer. I would try the dual fuel injection exhaust manifolds off a later truck with a 300.
