I Have Factory service manuals for all my vehicles. When I got my 99 F150, I checked "Helms" (the factory manual supplier) and was told that ford manuals are all on CD's. So I bought one for $237.00. For 4 years, I've been trying to read the ridicules font on the wiring diagrams. Today I searched for some diagrams on line and could actually read them. Where did they come from? Does the printed manual exist? Did I get a bogus disk? Have I been ripped off?
If you have a 99 F150 Factory manual of any kind, I would like to hear your experience with it.
If you bought your CD-ROM from Helms its authentic---never heard of them bootlegging their own stuff.
Not sure if your font issue is resolution-based or something else related to your display settings though--maybe contact Helms for their recommendations.
As for printed editions I found this during a casual search of eBay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1999-FORD-F-150-F-250-TRUCK-ORIGINAL-FACTORY-SERVICE-MANUAL-SET-WIRING-DIAGRAMS-/301278637093?pt=Motors_Manuals_Literature&hash=item46259b2c25&vxp=mtr
There are others in varying states of condition seems to be in line with the seller's ideas of what something is worth.
Thanks! The images on the covers of those manuals match the image on my disk - so, apparently there are printed manuals. $125 is kind of steep after spending $237 for the disk.
I've had good luck with Bishko Books, Repair Manuals, Owners Manuals, Parts Books & Sales Brochures. These manuals aren't cheap, but it is a lot of paper and it is factory original, or in the case of Bishko factory authorized reprint. Getting full sized electrical diagrams, which are 11" x 17" makes reading them much easier.
Sure $125 is steep after the other expenditure but I'd first be looking for a way to use the CD-ROM already in-hand. It has to be something related to your display or such, Helms isn't a fly-by-night company.
