Too bad the same benefit can't be said for your lungs.

If you can smell it, then the fumes are in your body.

But at least they're not in the engine bay.

Rich, can you pass the bucket?

Not so much butter though, thanks!

Wouldn't want to get my steering wheel greasy.

90% of your OTR trucks are vented. No issues there. I have mine vented behind the cab at the fuel tank strap. No issue.

Its nice to be able to hit 50+psi without having boots blow, without having to double clamp, strap or otherwise mess with IC connections. Its also nice to be able to cruise at 400hp, with 12-15k in tow and maintain 650-750* with a factory 6.0 IC...

Dont really care, but to say its a non issue is simply not true. Stock truck, fine, leave it stock. Modded at all, get rid of the thing and move on.

I was 99.9% sure on the first post, but now I know. Hi Joe... long time no see. A lot has happened since you were here last - I got my hands dirty, and the forum has grown friendlier.

As miraculous as your truck may be, us peons will continue weighing all the options and feedback (including yours), I hope this doesn't upset you.

Civility is met with respect and friendly banter. Anything else is... well... not.

Ah... incognito.

I'd say something here - but my inhibitions are diminished by a couple of shots of good Tequila, so I'll sleep on it first. Popcorn anyone?

Used to be a guy around here named Joe from Oregon, had a 2001 pickup with a lot of gauges, but he got banned.

I guess you remind them of him................

I think it was the Bend, OR area.

I've had my nap, but not my coffee - so my giveacareometer is pegging "0".

There is so much more to the story, but I won't bore you with gossip. If Joe were to return, I wouldn't want my post about him lurking in the archives - waiting for him to stumble on it. It would greatly anger him, and I don't want to do that to an adult that supports his family.

I've heard Joe is a nice guy in person, but it was hard to pick that out by the way he treated people on the forum (lack of civility on the keyboard). He has a lot of experience with the 7.3L and he would share his knowledge - he even helped me choose my injectors. If he came back, I would personally welcome his input - and he might even be able to help me with a few questions I have about fuel, oil, and cackle. Though my experience doesn't come anywhere close to his, I've learned a lot about the nuances of the truck - and I would hope I may have some knowledge that I can share with him.

I never saw him uncivil, but he was rather direct. I don't mind people clearly stating their opinion.

I think it was probably his extreme dislike for a rather popular tuner that has as much to do with getting him banned as anything.

I also welcomed his opinion. Straight to the point, knew what he was talking about and wasn't wrong very often. Do we need a FREE CSIPSD thread lol
If he's not here he must have done/said things not everyone knows about. This is the only time I've heard of anyone being banned here

John, living in the town of "Temperance", there is probably a lot that goes on in the extremes that escapes your notice.

On the contrary, there have been huge issues. Issues large enough to force the world's largest industries, oil and transportation, to make huge changes.

As for OTR trucks having road draft tubes? That is living in the last century, before the changes.

This century, OTR trucks contain, filter, and recirculate crankcase emissions.

The Donaldson "Spiracle" CCV is often required equipment for many of the diesel exhaust retrofit and original equipment systems on OTR trucks today.
