early 04 6.0 250 boost problem
just test drove my 2004 250 after doing the bpd oil cooler and a few other updates. well on the drive I heard a pop and no real boost after. stopped and checked for leaks and intercooler lines, nothing out of ordinary. got fuel drove home boost never got up to 2.0 and was slow to shift also ac started blowing hot.
any ideas?
thanks
even post the problems that you had prior to work if any
likely blew the CAC system out somewhere for the boost issue maybe even the uppipe or connection
check the belt tension and Fuses for a/c also can you hear the compressor kick on when flip switch for A/C??
How was ECT??
bpd oil cooler- did not want to have to keep changing coolers and was seeing numbers 220 or so
updated turbo supply line
updated turbo drain
updated ipr screen
blue spring on fuel bowl
new exhaust down pipe back 4"
discovered egr was already deleted so ended up not using the one I bought, gotta sell that thing now.
of course new oil
new thermostat
new degas cap
I think that is it......
no issues prior that im aware of had not had it long wanted to get things set before I tried using it much
plus side oil pressure made it to 208 max 100 degrees outside
ect 202 or so before tstat opened
took same route and drove normal upto about 28 psi boost.
ac issue I think is a Freon issue, was good and cold until almost home then started warming up thinking maybe a little low. and out side temp was only82 right now.
thank you all and still would like to meet some of the local folks I have other things I would like to do and enjoy talking to like minded people.
