Compare the VIN stamped on the Warranty Plate (located on the left door face below the latch) to the VIN on the registration/title to see if they match.

People replaced damaged left doors with used doors, 99.9% of the time, they failed to install the original Warranty Plates on the replaced doors.

1961/66 doors are the same except for 1961/63 Uni's. If the VIN's match, it's a 1966 not a 1964.

The trans (unless a 3 speed w/Overdrive) is the Ford type 3.03 3 speed manual all syncromesh that was introduced in 1963 F100/250's.

3.03 TRANS code stamped on the Warranty Plate. A = 1963/65; C = 1966.

The motor is already carburated. Also he has a built c4 trans for sale with it. It's automatic. Am I gonna have to alter the driveshaft?

Can't say for sure until the transmission and engine is in there but most likely, yes. Plan for it and you'll avoid surprises.

F10 = F100 2WD / C = 292 2V / R = San Jose CA Assembly Plant / 473551 = 1964, assembled November 1963.

What engine mounts are you using?

You will need a transmission mount as well.

The question on driveshaft length has to do with where you set the engine.

There may be enough room between the fan and radiator to set the engine/tranny in so that it hooks to the driveshaft without altering the length.

You will not know until you actually set it in.

The carb linkage should be easy, just use what you have. The tranny linkage will be more work, you need a shifter, kickdown, and cooling for the C4.
