302 in a 61

302 in a 61
Wondering if anyone has any advice on dropping a 302 into a 61 F100 with a 223 in it. The 302 is in a 62 right now, so I think it'll go into my truck. Will my manual 3 work with the 302, or will I need a new transmission as well? Any comments appreciated.

Jasper, You didn’t say if the 62 is a pickup? If it is and the installation was properly accomplished just move everything. Replace all defective or marginal parts and install the 302. If the 62 is not a truck..…or if it is but the installation was a hack job, I’d rebuild that sweet little six and have a life!
