I have a strang one, or atleast I think it's strange.
I have a 4bbl iron intake for a small block, # C6OE-9425-B, date code, 5J25, which all makes sence except the fact that it has a hole in the back for a 3 bolt flange that is open to the valley , (I'm thinking downdraft tube), only I don't think they were around in 66.
I have a strange one, or at least I think it's strange.
I have a 4bbl iron intake for a small block, casting #C6OE-9425-B, date code 5J25 (9/25/1965), which all makes sense except the fact that it has a hole in the back for a 3 bolt flange that is open to the valley. (I'm thinking downdraft tube), only I don't think they were around in 66.
This manifold is probably the "service part replacement" for the 1963/65 289 4V intake manifold. Could be used with or without PCV
Without PCV .. uses a road draft tube. With PCV, an adapter bolts to the manifold, smog valve threads into the adapter.
Adapter (C3DZ-6A665-B) same 2V or 4V .. See parts catalog pic of 2V manifold =
