camshaft
I have a 1996 f350 and I have the motor out and at the machine shop. They pulled the cam and its pitted 9ut on 1 lobe just below the top of the lobe. I was looking for a used camshaft but hes telling me the part nubers have to be the same bc they ar non interchangeable between years. Is this true or am I getting my leg pulled?

I switced to electric fuel supply a few years back so no need for that lobe on the cam. Thanks for the offer on the camshaft. I have one right now not shure what year its from but wanted to check with you guys who build these motors and see what the differences are in these camshafts supposedly.
