CB radio installation

I'm looking at putting a cb in my 85 F-250. I don't want to put it above me, I would rather it be under the dash or under the seat. Has anyone found a good place to install one?

A little information that may be useful: my truck is an automatic, it has the four wheel drive shifter on the floorboard, the truck has a full bench seat, and the CB is full sized.

Turn the bracket around and mount it to the tranny hump. You do not need to get to the radio very much when using it, just the mic. You can mount the mic on the dash somewhere up high.

I installed my 2m Ham radio on the back wall behind the seat. I have a speaker mounted just below the dome light and the remote face plate on the dash.

I'm not sure what radio you have, but I've seen one where all the controls and display were in the microphone, so the main unit could go anywhere. I think it was a Cobra 75 WX ST

If you have a gas truck, a Cobra 19 Ultra III or 19 DX IV fits perfectly in the cubby hole to the right of the steering column. Just shave the back out taking as little off as possible and it'll wedge right in, drill some holes and insert the thumb screws to secure it.

Thank you. Those are all very good ideas, and I'm just trying to decide which approach best fits what I want to do with my truck.

I have mine mounted below the dash, on the right side of the ash tray, it looks good, and there is easy access to it.
