Im thinking about adding a CB radio to my truck. I figure since the holes are already in the dash for the mic clip, why not! Anyhow, how about some pictures of how you guys mounted your CB and more importantly, where did you mount the antenna and route the coax?
My truck was already setup for a CB from the 70's in Saskatchewan. I had a wooden block already in the truck cut to fit above the roof brace. I just screwed through the headliner into that block. I used the wires that already ran up the passenger side pillar and added a weatherpack connector. I routed the Coax along the windshield and across to the rear passenger pillar where I already had a hole in the tin for an antenna. I haven't got the actual antenna on in the picture but you can see on the passenger side rear pillar the gasket and the mount for the antenna. I run a spring on it so it doesn't tear the steel out if I catch it on something.
