What engine?

Found an engine in the junk yard that had headers and chrome valve covers. The windshield said 5.0L, so I went home and checked my 302. The motor looks very different. The heads feature spark plugs that sit at an angle to the head instead of 90 degrees out. Will I need pics to aid, or does that ring any bells?

Yeah, let's see it. Way too many variables to make an accurate guess.

I thought the angled spark plugs may have been enough. I will look again Saturday.

What was the engine in?
If the spark plug angle has the back two cylinders pointing forward and the front two pointing to the rear, then its probably an FE (352, 360,390, etc).

If they looked like this, it's an FE (probably 360).

Looks about right. I have a 360 in my green 73', but honestly I haven't played with that truck very much.
