360 water pump replacement

360 water pump replacement

I have owned a few windsors and 'M's over the years but this is my first FE. Any tricks or surprises? Looks straight forward.....pulleys bolt on.

Simple as dirt.
Fan/pulley held on by four bolts. Remove any brackets and hoses, four bolts attach pump to block.
Be sure to replace the water by-pass hose now. Once the pump is on you can't remove it. It's 5/8" heater hose.
Here's the by-pass hose. Replace now. If it goes bad later, you have to remove the pump to change it.

Where's a good source to get replacement bypass nipples/pipes to replace the one coming out of the manifold?

WATER BYPASS TUBE, NIPPLE SBF, BBF, 351C, 351/400M & FE - Alex's Parts Sales
They have them for around $5.00
I see them on e-bay, made out of stainless steel, for around $20.00.

Thank you Mike, I have wondered for years if the sold those, I have always just used brass pipe, I just ordered 4 of those, I'd rep ya but have to spread it around a little first
