Fleet Truck - Ignition Microchip??
I just picked up a '96 F-250 that was an old airport fleet truck. The ignition turns freely without a key but will not start without this little 6-pin chip inserted in a plug under the dash. I don't mind this, as it seems pretty secure... but I only have 1 chip! I never have only 1 key, and it makes me extremely nervous. I've searched the internet HIGH and LOW and can't find anyone who makes these or replacement chips. Have any of you seen something like this or have any idea where to find one like it? They guy I bought the truck from was selling it for his father who was ill, and he didn't know how his father came by it, only that it came from an airport fueling hanger fleet.
Details: The only makings on either part simply say "THEFT LOCK"
(I'll upload pics in a few)

Looks to be a simple starter circuit interlock. I'd suggest simply inserting the key in the connector, then mounting the whole thing up under the dash out of sight.
Otherwise, you could trace the wiring back to where it was spliced in and restore the original wiring circuit and discard the add-on.
