In my area every other truck is a 2012 to 2014 red chevy with the same amount of lift and a few different brands of a low quality off road tire. Its just embarrasing. The dealers around here sell them like that and everyone has one. Nice looking truck! Got any hidden mods not listed? lockers? Air compressor?
My favorite mod has been my Readylift leveling kit and adjustable track bar. I leveled it to counteract the weight of my plow and the track bar was to help with the wobble I was experiencing at high speeds.
Just ordered the F650 hope to get it installed soon. Other than that I have just done the standard stuff. Does anyone know if they make an E-locker for the 10.5" axle in my Excursion. I don't see them listed any where online.

I think the newer trucks come equipped with E Lockers. However a few members here have raved about the Detroit True Trac. Definately something to check out.

There is also the air locker works like the e locker but with air instead of electricity if I was going to do it I would use the Detroit though but that's just me. As for my favorite mod I think Either the cold a/c mod because who doesn't like colder a/c or the fog light mod with 9005's in the fogs
Nothing high tech or complex, but I really appreciate the kick plates I made for my SD. Shoe marks on the sills have always bugged me, and especially buggered up paint. These look great, I made them for free, and they will stay nice for a long time.
My mods would be I put an 05 front end on my 01 F-250. Just got the truck a few days ago so my next mods over the next couple days are to instal my train horns, winch, cab rack, and I'm going to snag someone else's mod of the F-650 dash but I'm going to replace the switches with switches that have no writing on them and use them for all my accessories so it has a stock look. Also need to get my cab lights installed as well as my emergency strobes in the grill and headlights. Have a lot of work over the next few days but it'll be worth it!!
My favorite mod is probably adding the ARB front winch bumper housing a 12k Warn winch. Never had to use the winch, but the bumper gives me good peace of mind when I am driving through deer and elk country at night.
The bumper also allowed for fitment of 315/75R16 tires with a very small lift (1"), but also sliding the front axle forward by 1" using OffRoad Designs Zero Rate Add-a-Leaf.
My favorite mod has been swapping from the factory 3.73 gears to 4.88s. I actually got very lucky and bought a set of axle housing already setup with the 4.88s and a rear locker for $1200. The deeper gears made a great improvement to my EX's towing performance, pulling our travel trailer is it's main job. With the factory gears we were getting 6. to 7.5 MPG pulling our 9,500 lb 31' toyhauler, after the gear swap pulling the same trailer over the same route at the same speeds the mileage went up to 8.5 to 9 MPG. Being able to stay in OD when towing is a huge plus. Upgraded to a 12,000 lb 41' travel trailer and still doing great, best so far was a full tank average of 9.25 MPG this past Summer.
