wiper removal help

56 f100. I am trying to remove the metal wiper arms from the posts. Anyone share a tip before I break them. I saw somewhere they were selling wrench or plier style tool stating it helped remove the arms without damaging them..Any help would be greatly appreciated. If you could tell me where I misplaced my shop manual that would be cool too..

If you lift the arm up and put your thumb under the opposit side and pull up evenly it should come off. If all else fails and you don't have access to the handy tools, lay down plenty of masking tape to protect your paint and use a small pry bar to gently lift up.

SUCCESS! Thanks to everyone who shared their insight. After trying the least aggressive techniques first I got them off with the pry bar. Fortunately very little prying. Of course that leads me to my next question, but I will start a new post for that. Thanks again....................
