I drive a 2000 sterling where I work.. The SD front windows were definitely borrowed from the Louisville/sterling trucks.. Minus the wing window..the sterlings also have the hvac vents with 1 rounded corner on them..
The front window "drop" doesn't bother me.. Never has.. It's the rear door windows that bother me.. They look hideous... They scream "Toyota"...IMHO Toyota trucks are ugly..
I've seen the lariat interior about 3 months ago. It looks the same but obviously way nicer due to lariat trim. And there is 6 upfitter switched mounted on the ceiling by the sunglasses holder.
If you want to see more of what the higher line Super Duties, like Lariats, might look like, go to ford.com, and take a look at their special page for the 2015 F-150.
Of particular intrigue is the new instrument panel. It is like having an iPad Mini mounted inbetween the tachometer and speedometer. The four gauges across the top (coolant temp, oil pressure, fuel level, etc) are still there, only they are now incorporated into the iPad Mini-Like screen. They are completely CGG (computer generated graphics), much like looking at a graphical gauge representation on an app like Torque Pro.
Furthermore, in addition to an "analog-like" facsimile of needle movement (actually, a bar sweep instead of needle), these digital gauges are also digital... in that they post a numerical value across the top, in addition to the "at a glance" bar sweep.
Again, take a look at the photos and videos for the new 2015 F-150. The variety of media presented by Ford on that truck probably has the best predictive value of what is to come for the next Super Duty.
Ugly! Miss the round AC vents -- those provide superior flow and ease of adjustment. The grill-like vents that everybody -- and this mule -- has, look and feel like crap in my opinion. Current gen SD interior looks more spacious and uncluttered.
