Leaking steering gear

I have an 2008 F-350 4x4 with a 6.8 with about 34,000 miles. Yesterday I noticed something leaking and checked it out, it's power steering fluid coming from the adjustment bolt on top of the steering gear. Took a closer look this morning and it looks like a washer or something has been crushed between the 2 nuts, found some metal pieces along with some sealant type stuff. I really don't want to drop the cash on a new gear if I don't have to, can this be repaired with a new seal kit or would it be best to just replace the whole thing?

sounds like it is leaking from the lash adjuster. not sure why there are 2 nuts on it, should just be one lock nut I think? take some pictures, that will help a ton.
