A/C control
When I start up the Excursion with the HVAC in auto mode there is no air blown through the dash vents. Only through the defrost vents. Can any one tell me has my dash controle module died?

In particular, look at 4x4 lines and at the vacuum switch housing. Again, assuming you have diesel 4x4 with vacuum pump and vacuum operated front hubs. My 2003 did this and it was an easy 'patch' to stop leaks in 2wd until I could get to Ford dealer for a new vacuum switch for 4wd.

Oh. You may just have the 'classic' problem with Auto Controls.
There is a 2nd technique to 'reboot' the computer on the HVAC Auto Control:
- Turn OFF the Auto Headlight control.
- Turn ON the Auto Headlight control.
Don't ask me why, but all Auto Control HVAC systems do this at random times.
Also...please put description of your truck (e.g. 4x4, 6.0L, Limited, ?) in the signature line, so we can all answer with a bit more knowledge.
