Possible vacuum Leak under dash?

The truck in question is an 03 Excursion 7.3L.

I went through all the vacuum lines today trying to find out if I have a leak. The truck has always defaulted to defrost when in 4x4. Last week we got hit with two snow storms so I have had to use the 4x4 a lot. I don't recall hearing the vacuum pump run, but since using the 4x4 so much in the last two weeks it runs all the time.

To I got a vacuum tester and when through all the lines under the hood. I replaced the line to the hubs, which took care of the heater defaulting to defrost. The vacuum solenoid checked out ok also.

The other issue I noticed is when I switch the heater from defroster to floor and defrost the A/C light turns on. It has never done this before until this past week. All the setting change and work, but I don't understand why the A/C would turn on like this.
I disconnected the black line running to the behind the glove box and hooked up the vacuum tester it held vacuum, but would slowly return back to 0. Is there a possible leak under the dash with one of the vacuum lines. It appears there are 6 different vacuum lines under there.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Has anyone else had to repair any of the vacuum lines under the dash?

How often should the vacuum pump turn on?
