Excursion fender emblems or 08+ fender emblems?
Well I got a quote on bedlining my X today and it was around $2200. When I asked about the emblems the guy said leave them and they will show through and look really good. I was pretty skeptical but he showed me a few he has done and they look amazing! I am hoping to get this done around Christmas time so I'll have plenty of time to save up for it. Now this is the part where I got to thinking. Should I go with the stock Excursion emblem on the fender or the newer fender vent and emblem? This is all I have found so far and I'm not going to be able to do it unless I can find a set for under $50-$60. I am however looking into 3-D printing and didn't know if anyone would be interested in buying any if I did a small run of them that said excursion or diesel or sooper 5.4. Just a thought.

I bought my ex without the fender emblems due to it being ex police and they removed them as their stripe went thru it.
Ford had them to me in about a week and they were about 80 each, canadian. So cheaper for you I'm sure. We get soaked on parts here . I also bought a new ford blue oval for the grill. It was 60. The kicker was it was made in Italy, go figure! I can see Mexico or China for simple parts, but Italy surprised me. Must be a big ford plant there, lots of euro fords too.
I did bed liner on my toyota land cruiser on the rear quarters and rockers. It didn't stop rust or damage the way I would have wanted it to. But it's nice looking. It limits buyers afterwards as I don't think they think it's as cool as I did…But you do it for you.

You're bedlining the entire rig? Ugh. I did that to one of my Jeep's, figured it'd look cool, be more durable than paint and easier to power wash clean. Worked like a charm until summer rolled around, then the Line-X would get hot and retain the heat and turn the interior into a freaking oven. Even the AC on popsicle wouldn't help much it was horrible. Granted you're in Virginia and I'm in Texas, but I'll never do that again.
On topic, I think the stock badging would look better. The vent I don't see A) taking bedliner very well and B) looking ridiculous afterwards. If anything, I'd see about getting the Ex badge reprinted as letters only. It'll take a while longer to mount it properly as individual letters, but if you can get them a bit thicker they should be more defined and visible compared to the stock letters with the backing. That or spend some time with a hot knife and just chop the stock emblems up and remount the letters.
