If I remember correctly there are two PIDS you can read with a scangauge. EGR command open and EGR % opened. If they don't match the egr is sticking. If anyone else has something to add please do. Hope I stated it correctly. Still early here and 1st cup of coffee.

I'd agree, and add the low flow code also(nuisance P0401). The flow code itself wouldn't have me digging the valve out, but I check the others when it does. I haven't had any coffee yet, so take it FWIW.
Before I got the tune that turned it off
I would pull it with each oil change and
give it a bath. Well not a bath more a
spray off and did not allow the cleaner to
get into the upper half.
Now I check it every other oil change.
Stays more or less clean because it not being
opened and having that sooty gasses flow past it.
On my scanguage, what will the guage identification be for egr open and closed?
I just finished putting in TXD,RXF etc and I`m showing EVD and EVM the same matching low numbers such as 0 up to 4. My ETP is a blank so I will try re-inputing and see where it is.
Do they sound about right?
Thanks
