Guys, I am getting close to the end of my build but have been having trouble getting a replica ( Shaped exactly like the original) radiator. Everyone I call, has them on back order or want 7-8 hundred dollars for one with shroud and fan. Any one know where I can find this apparently hard to source item????
I looked at what Classic Haulers had for sale at the Ford Supernationals in Pigeon Forge in May. It was about as close to original looking, IMO, as you will find.
Cooling components, owned by Us radiator, can help. CC's price is a little lower than US's and it's all the same stuff. They build that model to order and it takes a couple of weeks. Worth the wait.
A little more info. I got the three row, high efficiency core, copper brass. The guy I spoke to said for my area the 4 row was over kill and didn't work well with an electric fan. Too restrictive. I had the dodge truck unit that alot of guys are using, but I only got a two row. It was OK ten months out of the year, but June and 100+ degrees was alittle sketchy with the two row. When it sprang a leak I decided to go big. So far I'm happy.
