I believe it was in the (outer) cover and switch assembly on the motor. Ford part number was C3AZ17A511C. So you may have 2 out of these 4 wires reversed.

Did you or someone before you recently swap the wiper motor. I swapped a later 2 spd wiper motor in my truck. When placed on top of the battery and touching the hot post I found the the motor stops in the same place every time, (parks). I had to swap the arm off my 66 motor to the donor to get it to park correctly. The arm may be on backwards or not the correct one.
ya i put a different wiper motor in and one of my arms was broke so i pulled one off a 68 ford so maybe i need the other arm of the 68 ford to. mine is a 67 ford the wiper motor is a 68
is the arm coming off the motor suppose to be pointing to the drivers door when it stops or passenger door. cause mine mine points to the passenger door when it stops
Everything is a certain length with the wipers so that they work together. In my earlier post, I am referring to the arm on the motor shaft. It stops in the same place every time. It has been over 10 years, it seems there is a flat spot to keep the arm in a certain place. You might need to flip the arm, that would make it point in a different direction.
I have 2spd wipers with delays on my truck using a motor from my 76 donor. I had to use the arm off the 66 motor to get them to park correctly.
