Hey has anyone out there done this I have a 91 f150 4x4 with dual tanks Can i remove the front one and block off the lines to the front is this possible and do they sell any kind of block or something to block the lines it has a 5.8 liter fuel injected
Awsome and thank you for the info let me ask you this where can i get the cap for the port is it special or did u make one again thank you for you help on this
I think that came off the new fuel filter I bought, but you can use any rubber vacuum cap. It's not very important because (if the mechanism is working right) no fuel will ever flow out of either of the unused ports. I just did that to keep dust out.
Make sure you route the remaining tank through the top fittings on the dual function reservoir. Because of the known problems with this valve, it is safer to do this. If the valve sticks at all when using the rear tank, fuel could be routed through the return line for the rear tank. The Front tank is the normaly most heavily used and the front tank position of the reservoir is the best seated. I did this mod on a 87 with dual tanks after removing the front tank because of rust. I routed the rear tank to the front tank ports on the reservoir.
