New to your website, just signed up today. Okay, want to convert my 4x4 crew cab 1989 F350 from a Gas 7.5L 460 with E4OD automatic to a 7.3L Power Stroke Diesel. Would like information on doing this conversion such as where to get conversion kit? What year 7.3L Power Stroke is most ideal or does it matter? Where to get a wiring harness, programmer, turbo, inter-cooler, exhaust and etc. Am I missing anything? I plan on having the diesel rebuilt to freshen it up? BTW, I will change the automatic to a 4R100 to replace the E4OD. Appreciate all or any information.
Thanks
Charlie
It'll be essentially bolt-in. I would look for a wrecked donor, that'll be your cheapest way to get all the parts you need. That's what I did, and I made $300 on the swap after selling everything off. I used a 96 F350 and it went into my 86 Bronco.
