F250 CAD files
Good morning
"Project Gooseneck" is getting close to commencement and I am hoping that some forum users will be able to help me out with this.
I am looking for CAD files or scanned images that I can use to make a virtual F250 from. This is so I can check for interferences between the tub and the neck section of the trailer and also look at the overall rig before it is built - so that everything is in proportion and looks right!
To do this the CAD / scans need to be fairly accurate rather than taken off brochure images etc
Of course I can measure everything up but it all adds significantly to the time frame so if someone can help out on this I would be very grateful
Regards
Ozeffie

What year, Regular cab, supercab, crew cab, box length or wheel base, 4x2 or 4x4 and tire size? What format? jpeg?
Call a local vehicle modifier that converts ambulances, wreckers, camper van, etc to see if they have a "body builders" book you can zerox a few pages. A Ford dealer might have a copy. New books are on the web I will try to find a link for you.

The Ford site is what we call counter intuitive.
Print this note. From the link provided:
pick TRUCK BODY BUILDER on the left margin
pick PUBLICATIONS at the top of the page
Scroll down under PUBS to BODY BUILDERS LAYOUT BOOK
pick on the model i.e 2002 Body Builders Layout Book
pick SPECIFICATIONS at the top of the page
pick model i.e. 2002 Superduty F250
pick TABLE OF CONTENTS at top of page
pick model i.e. 8' pick up box
this should get you far enough into the site to surf around for dimensions and 2D schematics.

Hello ranger pat
Thanks for that fast reply!
The vehicle is an Australian delivered 2002 F250 XLT 7.3 4 speed auto 4x4 single cab 8 foot box 265/75 R16 tyres [which I think equals 32 inches?] 3480 wheelbase [or 137"] and as far as I can tell most of the rest of the dimensions are the same as the US built F series - cept the local ones have a steering wheel instead of a glove box on the right hand side and get this, we don't get a bloody glove box at all!
I tried that link but it wont work for me, got any ideas there?
Thanks
