Hello! I bought a 2014 F-150 at the beginning of April. I took it in for emissions (Colorado) and it failed, come to find out it has a tune on the PCM, but everything else was fine. The quick question is should a Ford dealer be able to flash the PCM back to stock?

More details: I'm working with the dealership I bought it from, they are a Toyota dealer. They contacted a nearby Ford dealer who says they can try to flash it, but it fails 98% of the time and will require a new PCM. I've got zero experience with this, but does that sound right?

It's a 4wd STX, 5.0L 99k miles. Previous owners also put on a 6" lift, big tires, and it sounds like the muffler system has been upgraded.

find a better dealer. they can easily reset the computer to factory tune specs.
