All great news! Glad to hear the improvement really was an improvement.
With all the work Garrett's truck does it sounds like he ought to invest in one of those valve bodies also.
Glad to hear the new AOD valve body did the trick R, well played chum

Thanks Guys,
To me the main reason I put it in was when I start pulling the Mustang it would just be good insurance as for as keeping the pressure up with the extra load. But now that its in I see it makes it run like a different transmission, The up and down shifts are firmer which is good and the transmission is just a lot more responsive. I really think it made more difference then the cam did. Myself now that I see the difference, I would change it in a heart beat. Here a link to what I used if you want to look at it. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/tci-436020/overview/

That is cheaper than I expected. Sounds like a good deal all around!

That's about the same price as a stock valve body. The one I pulled out didn't have 1500 mile on it, but I didn't know about these till a couple weeks ago.
I guess the fact that you can adjust the shifting by it's shelf without worry of the pressure is probably why it feel different.
I just installed a B&M shift kit in mine a couple months ago. It made it better but there's still a lot to be desired as far as shift firmness and quickness.

The only thing about the shift kit, you still adjust the pressure and shifting together. It didn't say anywhere in their papers it would improve shifting but it was sure a good extra.

Here's my next job, it was just dropped off.
Holy Cow! Is it just me or did I just hear Angels singing?
Thanks Brian.
I got a late start today, but I've just about got it on, I still like the gas & vacuum line and the hot wire for the choke, but that will come tomorrows.
Looks just like mine Randle, and I can attest to the performance improvement that the DP makes with the 4 BBL... Have you done any head work, I can't remember if you posted on that?? I know that the bigger valves, comp. springs, lifters, & push rods all helped mine to run really strong. As well as the RV cam of course. Its all a package to make every link in the power train work together, not just one strong link in the middle...
Yours is looking way nice... Do I see double washers on the intake bolts? I did that at first too, then found some double thick, hardened washers, that won't compress, and eventually loosen.. just saying...
