hypertech speedometer calibrator review
just wanted to let you guys know how this Hypertech In-line speedometer calibrator worked out for me...
I had tried getting my speedometer to read correctly with my 37" tires by using a SCT X4 tuner but it was only able to adjust to 35" tires, so after searching around I found this unit and couldn't find a whole lot of info on the net about guys with superdutys and how it worked for them so I bought it and took a gamble it would work.
I installed it in about 30mins, had to take the dash face off and unscrew the 4 bolts that hold the instrument cluster on and plug this unit inline with the dash cable and I ran the supplied usb cord down under the dash so I could hook up to my laptop. Really easy job! Next was using my laptop with supplied software to set my tire size and gear raito, It took about 2 secs to program! Then I took the truck for a drive and the truck speedo read 80mph and my GPS read 80mph, Success! No more wondering how fast I am actually going when passing a cop!
So any of you guys with larger than 35" tires and want your speedo correct pony up a couple bucks and this is your answer!
