Glad to see you have everything pretty much in hand! Just how did you get home with a busted truck?
Smokie
Well I tried calling my dad for hours but he and my mom were camping. I finally got a hold of them this morning. I hated to ask him to drive all the way to get us, but I have to work tomorrow morning and couldn't wait for a rental car company to open tomorrow morning.
Anybody think of anything else I may need? Should I replace any of the bolts? Surprisingly, they all came out easier than I expected. Almost suspicious...

If you're talking about the two bolts that hold the turbo down, they should come with the install kit. In my experience they came out easy too.
If you go with the non EBP pedestol then you won't need the EBPV. But if you get rid of it then you will have to get the turbine housing that has that deleted on it.

I was just going to get the pigtail to plug into the connector to keep the light from coming on because I broke the connector off the pedestal for the EBPV, then get a pedestal and high flow outlet> I was going to get this one on ebay since RiffRaff's is out of stock.
I meant all the 12 point bolts to take the turbo apart.
I thought you meant just removing everything.
Those were a B*tch on mine. I soaked the bolts in PB blaster and let it soak in the sun, and then would occasionally re-apply. But I don't think it would have been as difficult if I had a bench vice or some other means of holding the turbo.
Not sure where their products are made. I hope not China. Also don't buy their injectors, heard nothing but bad about those.
Yeah, start typing in Pensacola diesel and there is all kinds of bad stuff that comes up. Maybe I will just leave the pedestal and do it at a later date when riffraff has it in stock again. A little oil drip is annoying, but I don't want to put a POS part on there and cause it to smoke my turbo or something. I should have taken the pedestal off and brought it home too then I could mod it while I wait for turbo parts to get here. Dang... hindsight is 20/20.
What all would I need to mod it in the parking lot? Isn't it pretty much just tapping and plugging the hole? Would ordering a high flow outlet be worthwhile?
I found another similar deal on ebay from Ron's Turbo Service in Salt Lake City. I may give them a call tomorrow and ask them where they get their pedestals from. Some look like a straight blank, and some look modified with the plugs. I'd rather just do it now instead of taking this apart again to do it later unless I have to.
I did this two weeks ago, after two weeks of daily driving and just completing a 400 mile tow this past weekend, the upgraded wheel is definitely worth the price of admission. I have the ww2 and not the RR billet, but similar peformance from what i hear. Also get an upgraded waste gate controller if you decide to go back with it, thats a good add on as well, if not, then just delete it. Rebuild kits come with two new bolts for the turbo hold down and 4 new bolts for the center cartridge to turbine housing (the one i had the trouble with). Not that bad of a job, granted all the bolts come loose within reason.

Well fiddlesticks... Now the RR wheel is showing out of stock. I am trying to get all parts there if possible just to expedite the process. So you can just delete the waste gate? What kind of waste gate controller do you get? I'm assuming it just provides more boost at more ranges?

I'm just glad I got the turbo out and it's sitting on top of my toolbox. . . Just wish I would have taken the pedestal out and brought it too.
