Piston Slap?
So about 40,000 miles ago, I heard this for the first time. I was getting oil changed at the dealer, cranked her up and wow, the knocking started then died off. Couple of the guys were shocked, the older guy saw me and must've seen my reaction and said, "they do that". Huh? That was at 90,000 miles. It has done it every time since. About at 120,000 miles, it does it regularly when I start up. Not every time but at least every other time. I'm at 132,000 miles now. Anyone ever had any experience with this? I always said I would run this truck till the wheels fall off. Bought it new in 2004, only replaced plugs, 2 cop's, brake caliper, and driver window regulator. Overall, it's been a good truck, still rides awsome.
Oh, yeah, it's startting to vibrate on tight turns. Also, trans is not shifting right, either shifts to soon or too late. I think she's about had it. Any comments?
