identify plug behind dashboard tray

identify plug behind dashboard tray
in my 2005 F250 WITHOUT factory brake controller/upfitter switches, I'm trying to identify this plug stuck in the back of the plastic tray. The empty spot next to it is where the brake controller plug was before I hooked up my aftermarket controller.
I recall seeing something about this when I did the install years ago, but can't find any info now. The red wire is 12+ with the ignition off, haven't traced out the others yet.

According to these factory trailer brake controller installation instructions, it is a plug for the factory TBC: Adding Factory Trailer Brake Control To Your Super Duty | eBay
They must be the ones that control the master cylinder that goes with the factory TBC system. I expect to find a plug in the engine compartment for it.
So, the ignition & hot wires are up for grabs as NorEaster found out
