Has any one else had a napa starter drive shear off within 1 month. I have had two of them do this. Brand new flexplate as of after the first starter....

When you say shear off, do you mean the teeth on the gear are gone?
But no I've never heard of this before, but I'm sure someone else has

Yes I have had the teeth completely shear off to where it was just the rod. I had to drop the little dust cover under the fly wheel because the teeth had fallen and wedge against the fly wheel and the cover preventing the motor from turning over..

And that one was from napa? Did they take it back? Where do you suggest buying one?

To be honest I can't remember the brand of that one but it was the one on the truck when I bought it. I went to the part store and bought the one they gave me for my truck and I haven't had a problem since.
