To tap into the vast knowledge of the site. Giving the choice would you buy a 2007 6.0 with 185,000 mi for $16,500. Or a 2008 6.4 with 193,000 mi for $18,500. I am assuming both are stock with no mods. I'm curious to see the site feedback.

Well, given those 2 choices, neither. I'd offer the 6.0 guy $10,000 tops, unless there have been some things done to it.

IF your price range is 17-20 grand... I WOULDN'T BUY either.... why not wait and get a better deal...jesus Christ already at almost 200k...who knows the service maintenance schedule was done properly or not... I look at trucks all day long....way better deals out there depending on your budget pulled up a couple nice trucks here in florida ! I'm biased if you just have 2 have one.....make it A DELETED 6.4

Responding exactly to what you ask, I would choose the 07. By the 06 and 07 model years a lot of the 6.0 bugs had been tamed. The 2008 at that mileage is in to almost uncharted territory. Also the 08 was on the other end of the curve, the first year of new technology. And repairs to the 6.4L can be very very pricey. Much easier to find techs and parts for the 6.0.

The 6.0 out of the two. But honestly, I would keep looking.

2008 only if it had a new motor. That is too much money for either.
