street master = single plane = giving up lower end torque for higher rpm HP
performer = dual plane = lower end torque gain and higher rpm HP sacraficed

Not that I am aware of .. If were talking 87 octane fuel so no more than a 9.0:1 compression ratio on a truck motor the performer is a good choice but this doesn't give much gain over a stock 4 barrel intake except the weight difference .. You won't be running above 4500 rpms anyway, right?

I run a Performer on my stock'ish 360.

I have read that the FE's respond well to the single plane manifolds a do not suffer as much low end power loss as other V8's using became style of manifold. Now, this I am not certain of, just something that I "think" I remember reading about.
