Cool A/C Compressor issues

I have a F150, 97, 4.6L. I changed my Suspension belt, and now my A/C compressor is not engaging. This has happened before, and when I took it to the shop, they called me and said the A/C works just fine. They did not tell me why the A/C stopped engaging or what they did.
I tried to locate a relay fuse, but I can't find it.
Any advice or suggestions?

There's no such thing as a "suspension belt" or a "relay fuse" in your truck.

See the HVAC FAQs, link is in signature below.

I stand corrected, I meant the Drivebelt.
In short, is there a way to force the clutch on the compressor to engage?
I will check out the link you have provided.

no the a/c uses a pressure switch to meaure the pressure in the system, if you have a clogged expansion valve or are just plain out low on freon the compressor will not engage. the serpentine belt is a fixed length so I don't think there is any way that you could put it on without going around the a/c compressor clutch also so my best guess would be low gas, or clogged expansion valve.

good luck

Compressor?

If the clutch was engaging before belt change most likely suspect is electrical connection.
You may have unknowingly knocked the connection loose at the compressor.

Let us know. Info helps everyone.
