deisal_brad said "For the most part those after mart seats SUCK. They give very little support, it is like sitting in your living room couch. It may sound great, until you have more than 20 min ride "... how are they? are they super soft or kinda stiff?
They are some what stiff, thing is the driver and passenger seat are softer than the middle bucket, but Ive drove the truck from Houston to Cypress which takes more than 20 minutes and never had an issue with the ride. If you get one that needs to be recovered you probably could have it recovered in better material. Sure I know these seats are pushing 15 years old and the truck sits out in the sun but part of me feels these seats shouldnt be having the seams come apart and threads popping this early.
i like a bucket feel but with a flip up/down center console
Well these I wouldnt say feel like your sitting in a couch. just about every couch ive sat in was soft like a pillow. These seats have some firmness to them but they are not like sitting on a brick though. I would say they have a firmness of a oem seat in a modern truck. Which is what I would expect considering the hispanic man that these were bought from was selling brand new in plastic wrapping Ford and Chevrolet Truck/SUV seats.
Personally I like them and I have thought about having the headrest scripted when I have the seats recovered. I thought about screwing with people and have it scripted to say "King Ranch" but I dont even know if I could get anyone to script that out of legal matters. I think I will probably have them scripted to say F150 if I even have them scripted.
