I got a complete front clip off an 05 coil sprung front end. 4wd.
Doesnt seem the spring is held in by a bolt or anything, just has the factory little bracket on the axle. I also dont see any kind of hardwar ethat could even bolt in to the lower string perch..
05-07 the spring is held in by the suspension components limiting extension, there's nothing holding it to the lower perch or the upper isolator. It'll be the sway bar links or the shocks that max out before the spring can come out. You'd have to seriously mess something up to have a spring come out.
I'd assume 08+ is the same, but I don't recall ever removing the front springs on one so I don't want to talk out of turn.
