Hi... I was just curious, instead of putting airbags on b/c I have the B&W turnover ball, if I could take the single auxillary from a 2001 DRW spring pack and add it to my 05 and have 2 auxillarys.. it shouldn't ride much different, the "chevy's" come with a thicker spring pack and 2 auxillarys. I'm trying to get the truck a little more level under my trailer. Thanks
Why don't you try some timbrens. I just got a set for my 350 cause of the sander in the back. They are rated for 8k pounds and on a 1 ton the susp will go down 1/2 inch and hit them. All in all your truck will probably go down an inch or so. $200 no shipping.
Thanks for the tip.. but what are Timbrens? I referenced the 2001 DRW b/c the shop that did my tint, etc does lifts, and just put an 10" lift on a 2001 DRW when I picked up my floor mats his "old" springs were on the ground so I asked if they could contact the guy where I could "have" or buy the overload off the spring pack to put over the existing one I have now. I don't "need" the extra spring I guess, just personal preference, it sits just below level, if not right at level, but i like it to sit a little higher loaded in the back.
COOL.. Thanks! If I can't get the overload spring.. this Timbren looks like a nifty thing. only $200. but it says only 6k lb rating for the 05 rear kit. I might need to go weigh the rig and see how much weight I've got on the rear axle. Last time I weighed with the 2000 2wd DRW c/c gcw was 24220.
Would this Timbren setup be compatible with the B&W turnover ball, because it also uses the existing holes on the frame...??? I love this hitch but its starting to aggrevate me in that it interferes with everything I want to do underneath the truck.

Reason: forgot about the hitch
