Jeff, I have said many times here, the VIN is how it left the factory doors, not how it is today. I found that rock on my on door step. The title for my 66 F100 starts out F25.
Hummmm....... Got to be a "rebody" or something, especially with an April build date with 68 attributes. I bet the VIN number has been switched because everything on that truck is a 68. That's also not a "factory" AC unit.
Did a 67 come with an underdash AC unit? Ive never seen one.
It could be that Ford did a early model change for the '68 model year...or a engineering change where parts were brought in and used prior to the actual '68 model run.
For the past 3 years we (at Oakville Assembly) were starting model change over in February instead of Aug/Sept.

IMO, a previous owner has swapped multiple 1968/72 parts onto a 1967. Some examples:
1967 F100/750's: You push the inside door handles forward to lock the doors, 1968/62 F100/750's have door lock *****.
1967 hood side emblems do not have reflectors, all 1968/72's do. 1967's do not have bed side reflectors.

1967 F100/350 grilles are 1967 only.
Its a 68 cab, hence the heater controls. Cant swap that out. That's why I said it has to be a VIN swap.
Looking at the truck, there's nothing on the truck that belongs on a 67, its almost all 68 specific. I would like to see what the number on the frame says.
