From what i see the larger connection on the back that feeds the battery and what i need to know is out of the 3 wire plug in guessing on must be a ground for one must turn on the alternator meaning 12 volts that comes from the key? or ecu ? something to tell the alternator to go to work and im guessing the other feeds the indacator light on the dash i have also read if this light on the dash goes bad this can also feed the mythacal activation wire .
Any thought on how to get a diagram or sequence of opperation to figure this out.
thanks\\

ok TRUCK FIXED.
First I want everyone to know That for the past 3 years every light in the truck would have a pulse to it. You really had to look to see it and some nights it was worse then others but its been a issue for years that no one could fix so we drove it. Well last week when it died at the boat ramp I had to deal with it. Ok so the mobile mechanic did find a burned fuse link that connected from the alternator to the starter solonoid . So After repairing the fuse link it still was not fixed. So i sent the truck to a more seasoned tech.He found that the dash light had burned along with a resistor on the dash cluster. After these were corrected the system is working great. No more flashing or pulsing lights. So im guessing the worn out main wire took its time to die and when it did it took out the the dash light and the resisitior . So when the key is turned on it send power threw the light and then it goes to the alternator and tell it to get to work so even if your alternator test good on a bench if its not getting the signal from the exciter wire it wont work hope this helps people in the future. These lights flashing and pulsing have been driving me nuts for years. Btw i wasted 150 for a new alternator that wasnt bad . 75.00 for a back yard mechanic from craigslist and It took 3 hours and 258 dollars for a pro to do it so im glad my truck is fixed and I found a new honest mechanic.
