Advice needed, please

Hello everyone. I am looking to purchase a 98 150 4x2. It's a V8, 5 speed, standard cab, pretty much stock with 98k on the clock. It has some pretty good damage to the front - needs a hood, grill, driver-side front fender, bumper, and just about every piece of plastic behind the grill but forward of the radiator. The front end is out of whack too. When driving, if you normally hold the steering wheel at 9 and 3, your hands would be at 12 and 6 to go straight.

Is there anything I should know about this model year? I would be looking to replace the damaged parts myself. Would used parts be hard to find? Could I use other years or makes like the Expedition?

I can pick it up for $2k and figure I could get the parts used and do the work myself for $1k or less. Truck is white, so matching paint shouldn't be too hard with used parts.

Any help or input would be appreciated. Thanks.

Most if not all of the parts you need can be easily found in a salvage yard off of any 97-03 f150 and i think the Expedition the frame may need to be put on a frame rack to be fixed but other than that most parts are ez to replace

The most commonly replaced items are ball joints (change to Moog brand on uppers, factory upper ball joints are one piece with the control arm), idler pulley, spark plugs have been known to blow out (never had an issue with mine), coil packs (yours probably doesn't have coil-on-plug), front wheel bearings, front brakes (rotor and hub are one piece with serviceable bearings), dpfe sensor, vacuum lines to the the Vapor canister valve, IAC motor, spider gears in the diff, and make sure you put a 3-amp fuse in line with the green wire on the cruise control deactivation switch. That's all I can think of for now.
The most I'd go is $1500 on that truck. Most expedition parts will swap right over.
