Random brake squeal
Single piston calipers and rear drums.
I replaced all pads rotors shoes drums and spring kit.
Everything was fine but brakes did not grab correctly.
Brought to Toyota and they said the sliders were dirty and not greased. For $100 they fixed that.
Everything was fine for about 3 days and the brakes started squealing at a certain pressure. A little more or less pressure and no squeal. Also sometimes at any pressure no squeal.
I took the front brake apart checked cleaned and regressed. Squealing went away again but again after a couple days the squealing issue came back. Same as before. Only at certain brake peddle pressure and not all the time. Brakes work fine just annoying with the squealing.
I have also found if I ride the brakes (gas and brake at the same time) at the squealing point the squealing will stay gone until the brakes cool back down.
Any thoughts?
1.Linings may be a slightly better quality the original oe, as a result, a little more heat buildup
2. Anti-squeal glue...was it used? if so, the anti-squeal shims are too thin....grab a piece of stainless scrap and make some new ones.
