Y'know how somtimes you just stumble up on a "good deal"? I think I just had that experience. I just got back from looking at a 61 unibody truck. It's a short bed with the wrap around back window and it's also a Custom Cab. It still has the 292 and the oil bath air cleaner. The guy also has another one for parts. I can get it for $400. Think I should get it??

Go for it. Good deals are hard to come by, and when they do don't pass them up.

Even if you don't want it, buy it! What could be worse than getting a 100% return on your investment?

The prized big window glass goes for four hundred or better on a good day, if you can manage it, get them both and part them out if nothing else.

Snap it up! Go original stock on the nice one and hot rod the parts truck. Of course I'm assuming money is no object.
By the way how did you get the little guy doing burnouts in your signature? I think it's cool.

I'm probably gonna gonna hot rod the nice one ,if not both. I didn't get to look the parts truck over really well so I'm not completely sure of it's present condition. There's no way I could part the good one out. I've only seen a couple of these trucks and they were all at the same show (F100 Supernationals). I'm a firm believer in restoring unless it is completely unsalvageable.

Cobraguy,

The burnout guy is a smiley I got off the net. I think I got it from one of the Mustang boards I'm a member of.

Well y'all...I got it. Picked one of them up last Friday. Here's a pic after doing some serious washing. Man this thing was dirty!

And I thought I got a good deal on my truck. Man that thing is sweet for $400. Did the price include the parts truck? BTW it looks to be a 62, 61s had the FORD in the center of the grill, 62s&3s had the FORD between the grill and the hood.

Yup, that price included the parts truck as well. Ya...I forgot to mention it was a 62, not a 61. I was originally told it was a 61 when I started this thread so that's the info I went with.

Sorry Andy, you're a little late. Sold them two weeks ago for $350, a set of replcement rims, and new tires The rims are a little rusted, but the tires are new I needed the $$ more then I wanted to get rid of the rims.
