It looks alot better now than when I first brought it home. Here's how it looked when I unloaded it off the car hauler. Looks as if it had been under the trees for at least 5 years judging by the tires (air cracked) and possibly 10 years if you go by the inspection sticker (1991). All I had washed on it at this point was the windows so I could see out to steer it
You folks should've seen some of the looks I got driving that beast home The previous owner took off the exhaust and stuck 2' pipes off of the headers As soon as I mashed the pedal down (to see how fast it would go, and of course to merge onto the freeway ) heads snapped and brake lights lit up all around me The only thing that worried me was the pass front tire...it had a bubble sticking out of the side and a slow leak.
Luckily I made it home. 3 days later there was no front end on it
Dixie Pirate I hope to get my truck looking like that one sooner or later. I've never restored a vehicle all by myself before, so it's sloooooooooooow going But it's getting done
