84 U Joints
Getting a squeak from one of the universals. 1984 F150,302/AOD. I thought all 3 were the same, but RockAuto, and some others are saying there are different sizes. Any way to check this, so I can order the parts BEFORE I tear into it?

take it out, and go to autozone. its not worth buying online. they have different ones, they have sizes that are bigger and smaller, one side will fit a bigger u joint and the other side a small axle and vis versa. just buy it local and match it man.

My truck has THREE different styles. I have not checked the front and rear sizes yet. Right by the trans is all snap rings on the outside, the centers look to have end caps, and the rear has two end caps and u-bolts. Craziness. I'm considering swapping them for new ones, funds permitting.
Taking the old ones to a place like Autozone or NAPA will definitely be your best bet.
