Hey all....first post....great forum and thanks for having me!
Looked but could not find an answer for this....Does anyone know of a source for aftermarket rear sensors for the '02 Excursion? I have found plenty for the other years but absolutely none for the '02....or, does anyone know the difference between the sensors for the '02 and the 2003? I could hardwire the '03 sensors in if it's just a difference in the connector....maybe there is a way to MacGuyver them into the bumper if the mounting bracket is different? The OEM sensors are almost $1k Canadian now and the aftermarkets for the '03 are $40 US per set....with the winters the way they are here, the sensors need to be replaced almost every year so the OEM solution is a no go. I appreciate any help or ideas from those in the know and once again, Great Forum and thanks for having me!
Just go with a rear view camera thats what I would do if you are replacing them once a year or so no need to waste cash for that. Look on ebay for some nice all weather durable cameras and you can get a in dash screen with stereo and dvd and rear view camera. Or the camera thats in you rear view mirror. Skip those dumb sensors I dumped mine in my new rear bumper being made and adding 2 cameras integrated in the bumper.
